 ZERO Conditional Sentences

Scientific Knowledge, General Truth, Facts etc.

If water reaches 100 degrees, it boils.

If one is healthy, nothing is lost.

First Conditional Sentences

Possibility in Present Tense 

If they come, we shall play the match.

If she works hard, she will succeed.

If he works hard, he can succeed.

If you work hard, you should succeed.

If he works hard, he may succeed.

If Ali works hard, he must succeed.

If Maria works hard, she ought to succeed. 

Second Conditional Sentences

Hypothetical Condition in Past Tense 

If he took the exam, he would pass it.   

If he took the exam, he could pass it easily.

If he informed us, we would reach in time.

If you cheated me, I would inform the police.

Third Conditional Sentences

Irrevocable condition of Past Tense

If he had played, we would have won the match.

If he had been rich, he would have got a villa.
